Notifications get ignored.
Calls don’t.

Your phone rings like a real call, and a voice tells you what it is for. Not one more notification lost among forty others.

Closed beta on Android and iPhone.

The lock screen only ever says Oarly. What the call is about is spoken after you answer, so a glance cannot give it away.

A missed call is
not the end of it.

Oarly rings up to four times, three minutes apart, and tells you if it never got through. The call above was answered on the second.

Add it in the app. Then forget about it.

  1. In the app

Type what it is, pick a time, choose how early you want the call. That is all.

  2. Or from your calendar

Add your own Oarly email address as a guest on any invite and it lands in the app. We never connect to your calendar or read it.

The things you keep swiping away.

Appointments, medication, the 6am flight, the visa that expires in March. Type them in or send them by email. Oarly calls at the moment they matter, and notifies you before that.

And the mornings you spend wondering.

Check in calls at the times that matter, spoken in their own language: morning pills, lunch, bedtime, or just one at nine. Answering is the check in, so there is nothing to learn and nothing to open. If nobody answers, Oarly keeps trying, then tells everyone looking after them.

Mum did not answer

Oarly rang 5 times between 09:00 and 09:25. Nobody picked up.

Sent to you and to Kate, the two people looking after her. Alerts are a push notification and nothing else: Oarly never phones an emergency contact and is not an emergency service.

“All good love, just made the tea. I will take the second one after lunch.”

Tuesday 09:00, answered in a minute. She spoke a reply, her phone recorded it, and Oarly wrote it up for you. She never opened the app.

$2.83 each for 6 people on one plan. 5 people to look after costs less than twice the price of one.

You are the one who pays, and one subscription covers everyone on it. The person you look after never enters a card and never sees a price, and does not need an account of their own. If they want one, it is included at no extra cost. Their phone is set up once, with the app installed and a test call answered, and after that they only ever answer a ringing phone.

Does Oarly really call my phone?

Yes. A full screen call over your lock screen, not a notification you can swipe away. If you miss it, Oarly rings again, up to four times in all, a few minutes apart.

Does the person I look after need to be good with technology?

No. Their phone is set up once, and setup is not finished until a real test call rings and they answer it. After that they never open the app again. They just answer a ringing phone.

Do I have to connect my Google or calendar account?

No. Every account gets its own email address. Add it to any calendar invite and Oarly calls you when the event starts. You never hand over a password, and we never read your calendar.

What if it does not ring?

That is the part we worked hardest on, so we do not ask you to take it on trust. Setting up finishes with a real call to your phone, and you are not done until it rings and you answer it. Some phones have settings that quietly stop apps from ringing, so Oarly checks yours and shows you which ones to switch on.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. A Oarly call travels over the internet to the app, so you need Wi-Fi or mobile data. There is no phone number and no SMS involved.

Tomorrow morning,
it rings.
